I just bought my very first house (dream come true). I'll be sharing the process of remodeling my home with you. It's definitely a fixer-upper, but it has “good bones” as they say.
This remodel is focused on setting the space up to move my office in as soon as possible. I will remodel the bathroom and downstairs later.
I'm planning on converting this into my office so I can make tutorials, experimentations, and everything fermentation.
Because of this, I'm prioritizing the kitchen makeover as well as the living spaces. I need to separate my work and home life. Plus, I need more room to spread out. I've been running my company from an 11×15 foot room/office for the past 5 years and I need more kitchen and experimentation space.
After living on the boat on the weekends, I've learned that the minimalist lifestyle is important because it frees up my mental space, which gives me more time and energy. Therefore, I am keeping this space free of clutter and being intentional about anything that gets moved over to the new space. Essentially, this is a great opportunity to Konmari Method my office stuff as I move.
I will share relevant links with you for non-toxic paint and other things I've thoughtfully researched to make this a green and healthy space to work and live in.
This is going to be fun!!!
