“My stomach's going down, my bloating, my belly, and I'm getting my waist back.”
“The histamine thing was huge in my body.”
“It's been life-changing for me. I mean, I feel like I'm getting my body back, my energy back and my life back and, and I'm like, maybe this is what’s normal. I mean, it's been so long.”
“Oh my God, you are amazing. And your protocol has been the biggest needle mover for me ever. I've been to so many doctors and it always gets to a point when I’d crash and they didn't know what was wrong with me.”
“Here’s what happened with your program. I was doing the probiotic intensive and then when I built up to so many, I think it was taking 10 or 12, and I just crashed. And I was like, ‘What is going on?’ I was having a huge reaction and all I could do is lay on my couch and I just listened to the next video. And up popped the histamine intolerance and I had never heard of that and I was like, ‘That’s what's going on with me.'”
These are all statements that Linda, a massage therapist, made in our most recent session about histamine intolerance and (with her permission) I felt I HAD to share it with you.
ABOUT DOING THE “RIGHT THINGS” FOR HISTAMINE INTOLERANCE
When she told me this, I knew that you needed to hear it. We can think that we are doing all the right things, but the right thing isn’t right for everybody…especially if they are dealing with histamine issues.
“I feel so much better giving up tomatoes and I was eating healthy. I'm a massage therapist and I've been trying to eat healthy and do all the right things. I was eating fish three times a week. I was eating spinach and Kale and drinking Kombucha. And it was wrong.”
This may sound eerily familiar to you if you struggle with gut-based symptoms yourself. Even when you do all the “right things” to be healthy.
Good quality whole foods. Yep, you eat them.
Moving your body in a way that feels good. You're doing that too.
Engaging in self-care to help keep stress at bay. It’s in your daily planner.
Still, your body just isn't feeling at its best. There are extra pounds you carry around. Your energy is low. You react to foods causing pain, inflammation, bloat, and digestive upset.
You can't sleep. Even though you feel exhausted. Or, you can't stay asleep.
Stress manages to take over. From your environment, relationships, deadlines, work, and even your “healthy foods.”
Histamine shows up as a response to your stressors, no matter how good you believe you are at “handling” it. Your gut responds with bloat, diarrhea, cramping, or nausea. Your throat or other parts of your body feel itchy and may even swell in response.
Anxiety and fear are symptoms that are also often linked to the histamine response.
Stress is underlying almost every symptom Linda has (along with 95% of the people I coach).
ACCOUNTABILITY WINS
Today Linda is a changed woman. Once she learned more about “doing the right things” for her body, which included how to truly relax, she gave her liver the break it needed to eliminate excess cortisol, adrenaline and histamine.
Another big mindset shift that brought Linda far better returns was to quit chasing symptoms. Even though she switched from a traditional medicine approach to herbs and natural remedies, she realized her underlying symptoms never resolved. All she did was change her prescriptions for a bag full of supplements that did nothing to address the root cause of those symptoms.
Hear Linda share her experience of getting the ‘five alarm fire’ of inflammation to turn off in her body.
LINDA'S DECIDING MOMENT, WHEN SHE TURNED HER HISTAMINE INTOLERANCE AROUND
Linda's story is about taking 100% responsibility for her healing. Knowing what worked before to help her feel better temporarily wasn't getting her to where she wanted to be – energetic, vital, and symptom-free.
When you know, you take action. And Linda knew. She could only ever get so far in healing her gut-based symptoms before she'd crash and her doctors couldn't help her again.
HOW LINDA DID IT
Knowledge plus action. That is the formula Linda applied to fix what was ailing her. Once Linda watched the Allergy Antidote, she understood which ‘healthy’ foods weren’t healthy for her. Then, she took action to heal it.
Results like these are no happy accident. When you decide to take responsibility to change how you feel, oftentimes you find a mentor to help guide the way. Someone who's been where you once were and has a time-tested, proven method to get to the other side.
Linda utilized two highly effective tools that worked for her. First, she invested her time in learning and incorporating the eight healing principles of the Gut Rebuilding® Program. Inside that program, you get access to my Histamine Intolerance Program (Allergy Antidote). You can also buy the Allergy Antidote by itself if you want to learn what Linda did to calm the fire. After that, Linda booked a one-on-one coaching call for more fine-tuned individual support. Her goal is to solidify better maintenance so she can count on her newfound energy for life.
